Fire
fighting pumpset for Latrobe Valley Power Station
|
|
 |
Our customer required a second standby
fire fighting pumpset to match the one they currently have installed. We
were commissioned to supply and install a TKL 200x300-630 pump powered
by a Detroit 16V71 diesel engine. The pump duty was specified as 300
litres per second at 1500 kpa. The engine was fully rebuilt and
dynamometer tested prior to assembly. |
|
After final assembly the
pumpset was test run at our works prior to dispatch to verify that the
pump would achieve the desired performance. |
 |
 |
The installation is to include an acoustic
enclosure to reduce the noise level to 84 dBa at 1 metre. Engine
controls were mounted within the enclosure and visible through a glass
window. Emergency stop provided externally. |
|
The pumpset and canopy and associated
piping all to be assembled and tested on site. |
