Firefighting Pumpsets for Oil Refinery

We received an inquiry from a company in the Middle East
to provide 2 trailer mounted firefighting pumps sets for use in an oil
refinery in the Middle East. They were needed on very short delivery times and our
customer found it difficult to find a supplier who could produce them in
such a short time. |

The pumpset was based on a Southern Cross Isopro pump
driven by a Daewoo diesel engine. The engine was fitted with a
lagged exhaust and a Chalwyn valve fitted. |

The pumpsets were fitted to trailers, painted, tested
and due to the urgency of the job were airfreighted to Kuwait and then
by road to their final destination.
Transport time was approximately 3 days. |

Water from the pump was introduced into the exhaust pipe after the
muffler as a spark arrester, due to the hazardous conditions in
which the pumpsets were required to be operated. |
